About Gus
Hello my name is Gus!
I'm a handsome little dude with a massive personality. As you may have noticed in my photo, I have recently had my front leg amputated. I was surrendered to Lort Smith with a fracture that was not repairable so the best option was to remove my leg. I don't really mind, I guess having four legs is overrated anyway! You see we dogs adapt really well to life with three legs, especially when you’re only a young whipper snapper like me!
I'm looking for a home where my new family will do lots of training and socialisation with me. I'm friendly with other dogs but if there is another dog in the home please make sure they're not too boisterous and big for me, I don’t want to get knocked around too much!
Older children in the home are fine with me, as long as they're gentle around my surgery site. Please be mindful of things in the home that might make it hard for me to get around, like too many stairs.
Come in and give me a cuddle, I might just be the one you've been looking for!
Medical notes
Recovering beautifully from a front leg amputation.
