About Hayley
Super sweet Hayley is going to be quite a big girl, but not as big as here brother Huey. She has a finer build than him, but will be quite tall.
She was born in the remote community of Elliott to a heeler cross mum of medium size, and a dog who looks very much like Hayley, even down to the smoky smudge on his nose. Dad dog belongs to an old man who he follows faithfully around town, and the rest of the time minds his own business. He is a quiet well behaved fellow who looks to have a bit of bull arab in him, and he is a very handsome dog indeed.
The owners are keeping two of the litter but allowing us to de-sex them and their mum, which we are thrilled about. They have entrusted Hayley and her brother Huey to us for rehoming. Mum and the whole litter have been really well cared for and have had a great start.
I have to say these pups are just such a pleasure to care for. They have very calm natures and are confident with new experiences, playful and sociable. They love the big dogs and mingle in without annoying them.
They have been introduced to living inside in the last week or so and are catching on to house training very quickly. But they also enjoy rumbling around outside, playing, running and exploring. Hayley is really sweet and well behaved.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adoptees locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Hayley's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Hayley is fit and well, and will be ready to travel after her 2nd vaccination on 4/4/2017. She will be wormed and heartworm treated again just before leaving the Territory. We suggest that with all dogs from the Territory, they are wormed 2 weekly until 5 months old before going on a normal worming regime, and have at least 1 further heartworm treatment after they arrive down south.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Shipping fees may or may not be included in the adoption fee, and this will be stated in the pet's profile.
