About Scruffy
Scruffy came into care very recently when his owner has been going through a difficult time. He has had quite severe remedial dental work but otherwise is in good health. He has been kept up to date with his vaccinations and worming and is still an active happy dog. Scruffy is small, about 4kgs and loves to be an inside dog especially at night. He is not too fond of men at first but has warmed up to my husband over time. He is house trained and used to sharing everything with his human companions. He is loyal and it is very sad that he has found himself in this position. He is good with other dogs and cats and has a passive nature in general. He will be a great pet but needs a secure yard. He will run at full speed away if he gets out, although he comes back and is easily caught. I think its a trait developed from being constantly in the house at his previous home. Scruffy will do best with a mate so if you already have an amicable easy going adult small dog then Scruffy will love your situation!.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
