Cooper and Skye

Introducing Cooper (white and tan male) and Skye (tan female), bonded 6 year old Chihuahuas looking for their forever home together.

This pint size duo will melt your heart with their big adoring eyes, and their love of cuddles and affection. They are happiest when curled up on your lap or inside your jacket. They like to be involved in everyday activities, and will give you the biggest welcome home - even if all you did was check the letterbox.

They are still new to learning social etiquette when meeting other dogs, and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help them acquire these skills. They enjoy their walk once they are out and about, but are also happy to forego it if it means extra snooze time with you instead.

These two prefer the quiet life, as loud noises and sudden movements can be a bit intimidating, and it is suggested that this pair are the only furry ones in your home. They do get along with cats and other small dogs in time, but they will need patience and understanding to help them learn how to live with each other peacefully.

It is believed Cooper and Skye would be best suited to a family with older children (if any), and where someone is home a lot. They are most content when indoors and with people; a doggy door to a securely fenced yard would be ideal.

Cooper has a medium length coat which will require regular combing to avoid it matting, he thoroughly enjoys this experience and will decide when he thinks he is done. Skye has a grade 1 laxating patella, this does not cause her pain or discomfort and does not limit her in any way.

Both Cooper and Skye are house trained, and are very much indoor dogs, especially at night. They are loving companions, and want nothing more than just to be with you. They are ideal lap dogs, and although they are tiny their ability to love is not.

They are currently in foster care in Pascoe Vale.
