About Wally
Wally is such an incredible lover of people! He's a big boofa of a cat, with very solid head and cheeks. Wally was a stray who was caught by another rescue group at an abandoned house, meaning that someone loved him once but left him behind when they moved. His blood tests have returned FIV Positive, which for most cats in rescue can mean a death sentence but for lucky Wally, this just means some special attention! FIV is not typically fatal for cats, as they can live relatively healthily as carriers and transmitters of the disease for many years, so we have to be choosy where we rehome this big boy.
Wally is very loving and affectionate, and will spend 99% of his time rubbing up against your legs and begging for attention. He isn't really suited to young children as he occasionally love-bites his human - totally without malice though! Poor Wally has had a bit of a rough life and his body shows the scars from having to protect himself on the streets... his ears are a bit tattered, plus we can't be sure how old he is but judging by his battle scars, we'd estimate around 8 years old. His fur is super soft but doesn't seem to shed overly much. He loves his food and is enjoying having unlimited amounts at his disposal.
Wally isn't overly reactive to other cats but he does tend to dominate a little so would be best as an only cat or with another FIV positive kitty that isn't a fighter. He's had all his vet work and is waiting to meet someone who will keep him safe and loved for the remainder of his days. If you'd like to meet Wally, please call Tennille on 0450 785 861.
