About Africa
Meet our latest rescue cat Africa. He was literally on the brink of euthanasia as he's FIV positive, needed a full dental extraction, skinny, needed desexing and is a senior citizen that clearly has had a very rough life. But we don't care about that and think he deserves a second chance at love and life. He's had all the medical assistance on offer and is now safe, chilling out at our Buccan sanctuary. Africa seems to appreciate being rescued... he's loving, calm & very sweet. Being FIV+, we have to be very careful where he is rehomed to protect uninfected cats.
Africa has spent a couple of months now at BVCR, allowing his hormones to recede and to feel the safety of regular meal times and lots of love. He's ready to go forth into the world and meet his new soulmate. Africa would best suit a household where he can be kept in the safety of indoors or with access to a cat-proof enclosure. He's rather lazy, and enjoys snoozing in the sun or eating, as long as he has a human to give him some loving every day. He's very relaxed and calm, but we do think he'd need a home with no other cats, or at least any dominant ones as he does tend to be the boss. Africa has the gorgeous caramel and chocolate markings of a Bengal, but none of the wild tendencies.
Just goes to show it's not just the young, perfectly pretty cats that we think deserve their own forever homes... BVCR will do everything in our power to help as many as we can. If you'd like to give this beautiful boy a second chance at love or just come spend some time with loving this handsome man, give Tennille a call / text on 0450785861.
