Nimbus had a sad start to life, he was just 6 weeks when he was found with his brother Cumulus in a box.
Luckily this didn’t affect him one bit and he's a very special boy with a quirky personality!
Nimbus loves to play with his brother and doesn’t mind getting a little rough play, once he's tired out he will have a long nap with either the other kittens or his big doggie sister which he really loves. Nimbus doesn’t cope well being alone, so a family with furry friends or someone that would consider adopting him with his brother or sister would be better suited.
Being deaf, Nimbus will need a family that can be particularly sensitive and understanding. While is not a problem when he’s asleep and you need to vacuum, it may be a problem when he's sleeping and you can't find him, or when you’re trying to get his attention. Because he can’t hear people or other animals that may sneak behind him, he will need a home with older kids and calm dogs/cats.
Also due to his condition he’s quite the loud kitty and this will accompany him for the rest of his life, so please consider it before applying to adopt him. He’s usually talkative just when it’s food time or when he wants cuddles. Nimbus can be very loud also when you pick him up, we are not sure why but once he’s in his favourite position and getting head scratches he LOVES it.
Nimbus is a lovely little guy that needs a special understanding family, please consider giving this boy his happy furever after!

ADOPTION:

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
