About Missy ~ 4yo Staffy x girl (On trial 11/3/17)
We’d like to introduce the beautiful Missy, our gorgeous 4 year old female staffy x. She’s a softie that’s sure to win a place in your heart with her sweet temperament – and all she wants in return is a family to dote on. She’s very affectionate and is a perfect companion for someone who wants friendship and lots of hugs.
Missy was surrendered due to a family’s change in circumstance so she has no behavioural problems or medical issues to work through. She is house-trained, obeys basic commands like sit, stay and come and is especially excited to show you how good she is at shaking hands (or paws) too!
She’s quite athletic looking and enjoys her walks but is happy to spend a lot of her time resting at home – especially when there’s someone to hang around with. She’s previously had the company of a Jack Russell so may enjoy a canine friend, however, she can sometimes become anxious so it would depend on the specific dog in question.
Missy’s ideal home would be one where she has company most of the time – the only time she whinges is when she’s left on her own! She’d be especially happy if you could provide a few good belly rubs too!
After all the excitement of trotting around the house with you or fetching a tennis ball, she’ll probably need a bit of a rest – but not too far away from you – she likes to lie on your feet so that she can make sure you’re not going off without her!
If you could do with someone to spend your time with or an extra member of the family that could be the official snuggle-provider, Missy is the girl for you. And she can’t wait to meet you!
For more information or to meet Missy, please contact her foster mum Sam on 0412 645 295 or email samanthakirsty@gmail.com. Missy is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Missy's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
