About Chester ~ Cav x Kelpie pup (on trial 5/03/17)
Chester is a beautiful 10 week old male, King Charles Cavalier x Kelpie puppy. He loves to play with his toys and sister Candi and loves to cuddle with you while watching tv.
He has been living with 7 other dogs so would love to have a small, friendly dog to play with. Chester is a very healthy, happy puppy who needs a family who is home most of the time and is not available to families with children under 10 because of his small size, only 2 kilograms. You would need good fencing with no gaps and he cannot go to rural fencing (e.g. mesh or wire).
Like all puppies he loves to chew things including fingers and toes, he is learning house training and doing very well and this will need to be continued in his new home with rewards training. Chester is to be a house dog and part of the family and I always recommend puppy school when fully vaccinated. All dogs and puppies plenty of love, affection, exercise and training.
As Chester is not desexed yet, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to one of our vets at approximately 5 months old for desexing. Chester is NOT available for interstate adoption with no exceptions.
For more information about Chester please contact his foster mum Debbie on 0408 825 714 or email debbie_morphett@bigpond.com Chester is in care in Beresfield, NSW (Newcastle area).
Chester's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing, first 2 vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
