Maxwell had an elderly owner and came to a home where someone was always there, so the perfect home for him would be someone who is retired, works from home or only works part time, as he really loves having your companionship. He would be ok with a little doggy friend to keep him company but the more you are home the happier he will be.
Maxwell is fine with kids but has a biting issue if you try to pick him up so he is more suited to older children in the house who can be instructed not to pick him up.
Maxwell likes some cats but he can be picky so it's probably best to only have at most, one other small dog in the house.
