About Luca ~ Staffy x (on trial 4/11/2017)
Luca is an 8 month old, female, Staffy x who will literally jump through hoops to get adopted! Luca attended a 4 lesson Tricks Class where she learned some awesome tricks such as crawl, bow, ring a bell, jump through a hoop, touch a magic wand, spin in a circle, and more! She already has good basic training such as "sit", "lie down", "stay" and she always comes when you call her. She walks nicely on lead (well, most of the time). She is a dream to train and responds very well to positive training!
She is a very cute and playful girl. She is very healthy and has been raised in a home environment where she has been very well socialised. She's met lots of people and children and is friendly and affectionate with them. She is medium sized.
Luca needs to be welcome inside when people are home. She is house trained. She is a wonderful family dog. She is living with two young children aged 4 and 7, and a teenager. She does tend to jump a bit (is getting much better), so probably not suitable to toddlers. Like any dog, she needs secure fencing. Even though she is living happily with other dogs, we think she'd be best suited to a home without other dogs where she can get plenty of attention.
For more information or to meet Luca, please phone her foster mum Nicky on 0481 732 582 or email foxhurley2012@gmail.com. Luca is in Cameron Park, NSW (Newcastle area).
Luca's adoption fee is $450 and she has been desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Happy and healthy young dog.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
