About Delta
At only 12 months of age, Delta has all the playful traits of a young dog plus the eagerness to learn new tasks. As a kelpie cross, she is reasonably active and would thrive in an environment where she can continue to enjoy the game of 'fetch' with her new family. Already sitting on command, Delta has mastered basic obedience such as 'sit and stay', looking to her humans for guidance. She responds particularly well to the direction of new tasks and is great on a lead, despite the assumption that she may have not been taken on many walks by her previous owner which I find incredibly sad. We have enjoyed a few walks through the bush, to date, and she thrives on the smells and sights that are able to be taken in.
This young girl would thrive in an environment with a family who can spend time with her in a social capacity (weekend outings) and continue with her training. She is currently in foster care with two adult kelpies whom she gets along extremely well with and sleeps outside on the decking with her own kennel and bedding. Delta is able to come inside for snuggles with her humans but prefers the outdoors for sleeping.
As an active young dog, Delta would thrive in an environment where her new owner(s) are able to spend time in her company helping her to explore the world. She is a great traveller and is most happy when in the company of her humans. With such a beautiful and loving nature, Delta would be the ideal companion for someone who is going to shower her with love, cuddles and guidance. She is a delught!

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
