About Sook ~ Jack Russell x (On Trial 26/2/17)
MEET SOOK! This handsome little man is a Jack Russell Terrier cross aged 20 months. Sook is in need of a loving family where he can be given lots of love and attention,
Sook is very down to earth and loves playing with his toys and cuddling his teddy. He is a semi dependent dog, as he will follow his owner around all day, when he has the opportunity, but also thrives at being independent when he needs (i.e. being outside while his carer is out and when he has to do his business).
Sook is house trained and follows basic commands and LOVES his dinner time! If you throw the ball to him, he will bring it back every single time without fail. He loves belly rubs and is very loyal and devoted to his carer. He is very playful and energetic and can get quite excited when his owners come home but soon settle down after a few belly scratches.
Sook is looking for a family that let’s him up on the furniture, as he love being close to you, but he would be just as happy to sit at your feet and sleep under your bed. Sook does not enjoy sharing the attention with others so a family with very small children may not be a good idea.
Sook gets along very well with others dogs on walks and at the park, although he would prefer a home where he is the one and only. He loves walks and is getting the hang of walking in a straight line and he does not try to run away.
Sooks carers family loves him so much because he is such a good boy and even the vet complemented him on his good behaviour when he was desexed, so in the right home he would be the most perfect little companion.
For more information or to meet Sook, please contact his foster carer Grace on 0435 013 132 or email graceburgessclark@hotmail.com. Sook is in foster care in Merewether, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Sook's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
