About Spirit
Hi there potential new family. My name is Spirit and I am a 7.5 year old German Shepherd. I am a great guy and would really like to be in my forever home with you.
Life has been a little tough for me up until now. I'm a little bit embarrassed to say that I found myself in a Sydney pound with nobody to love me - that is up until the lovely people here at Central Coast Animal Care Facility took me in. Now I know what it means to be loved and I can't wait to find a family who will continue to show me the love that these guys have and so that I can give lots of love in return.
I need to be honest with you ... I have a little bit of a problem with my ears. I don't want to share the secrets of my past life before coming here, but I wasn't looked after very well and I have what they call "fly bitten ears". The lovely people here have been treating my ears and they are improving daily. There is not a lot I need to help me, just some cream. But I may not look as handsome as I normally would because of this. Although all the ladies at the facility are always telling me what a handsome man I am!
Please don't be fooled by my age. I may not be a sprightly 2 year old, but I do have lots of energy to play with you and I also like to cuddle and kick back to watch a movie or two if you are up for it?
I really like to go exploring the world and sometimes I get a little excited to be out and about and I do pull slightly on lead at first, but I promise that I also settle down very quickly and would love to take a walk with you every day :)
I like to make friends, mostly with smaller dogs. I don't know what it is, but with larger dogs I seem to be a bit bossy. But if you think I may fit into your family, I would be happy to meet your larger dog to see if we get along? Oh and I am sorry, but I just can't seem to get along with those ones they call cats.
I have no food aggression so you can be safe to know that I will not steal your food, or be angry if you chose to steal mine ... but I am secretly hoping me may be able to share sometimes?
I am a very smart lad and I really want to please you ... so with some patient and positive training, I am hoping to learn lots of new things from you ... Oh and here is the kicker selling point ... I am house trained!
I am looking for my forever home, where I can be included as part of the family and involved in day to day activities. I will thrive in a family that can lead me with positive direction and with my desire to please people, and my easy going nature, I will make a great addition to any family.
My's adoption fee is $350 and includes my desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. I am also regularly treated for flea and worms.
To enquire more or to meet me, please email ccacfadoptions@gmail.com, drop in to the facility or call 02 43044350 and speak to one of our friendly staff.
I am so looking forward to meeting you

Adoption details
Please phone or email us to find out more information on our animals. You will be asked to fill in a questionnaire. This questionnaire is confidential and does not oblige you to adopt, or guarantee you the animal. The information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once the questionnaire and any questions you may have are approved and answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
