About Odin
Hi! I’m Odin and I’m lots of fun! You could even call me a big goofy floofy ball of fun!
I have an enthusiastic zest for life – and the energy to live a full on one!
I am a handsome guy as you can see, so I’m sure I don’t need to sell you on my good looks, so let’s talk a little about what I like to do and who my favourite kinds of friends are.
Starting with my kindred spirits, it’s the ladies I love (but who could have guessed that right!). Call me breedist but I just can’t get enough of my own kind. Currently I have the sweetest fun-est foster play buddy sister you could ever imagine, and I do so hope my new home will have one just like her. I’d be terribly lonely without a companion.
I do like rough play in true husky bitey-face style and my best friends will play with me for hours like this. Foster parents have been helping me with my social skills but I’m still an ‘awkward teenager’ at times so I like patient and well rounded friends that don’t react to my sometimes rude greetings as this is a work in progress for me.
With my two legged friends I’m a happy-go-lucky guy and pretty pleased to meet them all. My foster hero’s have been working on my manners since I arrived on day one, as apparently I didn’t bring them with me so we had to start from scratch on that one. That enthusiasm I have for life extends to most things and I can get quite excitable, so I’d be best in a home without small kids or elderly that I might knock over.
My favourite thing to do (after playing of course) is running! Foster mum and dad take me for long runs all the time and at my age and with my physique I’ll need daily exercise to maintain this impressive body. I love all kinds of exercise, hiking, marathons, bike rides and just down to the local park. If you’re keen, I’m there.
Whilst I am mostly all about the fun and exciting times, my foster parents have also taught me to be calm around the home and in my down time I love to laze on the floor and follow you around inside the home.
I’ve been known to pull a crazy face or two from time to time and one things for sure, if you adopt me you’re sure to be in for a laugh at my crazy shenanigans. Which brings me to my next point, a sense of humour is very important to me, if you’ve experienced the antics of a husky before then we are going to get on just fine… I don’t take myself too seriously and neither should you.
In my new home I’ll need 6 foot secure fences to make sure I don’t take myself off on my own exercise adventures, and much to my disappointment apparently chasing, cats, pocket pets and livestock is a no-no so please none of those.
I’d love it if my new home had the time to put into some further education for me as well, I just know I could do so well at group obedience classes with a bit of help, and the kind folks at ARV have agreed to fund this if you’ll join me?
I’ve got a lot of love to give, and I’m hoping to find a family with some room in their hearts and home for me, could it be you?
