Django is a big white marshmallow ball of smooshy goodness. He is a placid pup and doesn’t jump around or get super excited like most normal pups. He is pretty much toilet trained now with us only having 2 accidents (one of which was me not letting him out in time)
He is good with cats, other dogs, chickens and he is great with young kids.
He is happiest by your side and is like your own personal shadow so would do best in a home with someone home a lot or at least part time. Also he will need another doggy friend to be friends with as life can be a little daunting when you are a deaf pup.
He is a lovely mannered boy on the lead and has been responding great to training with hand signals. He currently knows how to sit and come.
He will need a home with someone who is understanding of deaf dogs or very patient and willing to learn how to adapt to living with one.
Due to being deaf he may bark if he is left alone and won’t realize how loud he is!
Django is happy to be inside sleeping close to you with lots of smooches and cuddles. He really is like a big soft baby.
We will be picky with who he goes home with to ensure he is given the best opportunity to grow into a happy and well adjusted pup.
Due to being a dane x Catahoula he will grow to be at least 60-70kgs (he is currently at 21.9 kgs and he is 3 months old).

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
