Whetu is a stunning looking little tortie with a very very sad story to tell.
You would think that she had been living in a nice clean place, but this is not the reality. Mind you, she is in really good health, has shiny fur and a sparkle in her eye.
And wait, there is a little V8 in that little body of hers. As soon as you start to pat her, it slowly gets turned on. Whetu still needs to learn how to trust, but in just four days she has come such a long way from never being touched to actually purring and being happy to being picked up. Whetu means star in Maori and her little ginger marking on her face looks like one.
She is our little rescue star, we can make a difference and Whetu has just shown that she can too. She came into care with her sister Waimarie.
