About Smiddy
This cheeky boy is Smiddy.
He is a gentle and affectionate little character who is looking for a home where he can have lots of fun.
We have no guarantees this is Smiddy's actual breed but have asked for advice from our local vet and this is purely their opinion.
Smiddy is currently in care with his brother Ollie but they will be looking for separate homes as they are quite unsure of the big wide world and rely heavily on each other for reassurance, A mature, desexed confident dog of similar size will be a great leader for Smiddy to help him overcome his insecurities. He is very active so will not be suited to a senior dog who is now enjoying the quieter things in life.
Another dog in the home will be a must and something that we will not compromise on to help their move be as easy for them as possible.
These boys go for walks every day and a being introduced to different surroundings. They are still unsure when they see new people and dogs and will bark a lot as they are unsure how they are meant to react. They do settle quickly and are becoming calmer every day. They are also building a trust with their carer and learning she will make the right decisions to keep them safe.
It will be important for them to continue with daily walks and regular outings in their new homes to help them continue building their confidence and social skills.
Smiddy loves the car, will get very excited about going for a drive and will generally sleep for most of the trip.
This sweetie is still only young and has great recall and listens well for his age. He sits when asked and has very nice manners.
He has an indoor/outdoor lifestyle in his foster home, he is toilet trained and will head out when he needs to.
They share the bed with their carer overnight and love being close to their people. Smiddy will be looking for a home where he will have the same privileges he currently has in our care.
Considering Smiddy's small size he will easily fit under gates and gaps in fences so he will be looking for a home with very secure fencing to assure he will be safe and secure.
If you would like offer Smiddy a wonderful life please send us an enquiry and we will be in touch shortly
Smiddy is currently in Ferntree Gully, VIC

We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
