About Patch ~ Maltese x (On Trial 27/2/17)
This is the beautiful Patch, he is 3.5 years old and white, tan and black male Maltese terrier x (possibly Shih Tzu). He is a delightful lounge lover that is learning to trust and enjoys cuddles and a good scratch
Patch is only just learning basic commands but is a fast learner. He can be a little anxious so would be better suited to children over 5.
Patch is not a picky eater and walks well on a lead with a few reminders.
Patch is definitely an inside dog, he would benefit from continued toilet training and a doggie door. He doesn't mind other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. As stated Patch can be anxious and needs a human with loads of love and patience.
Please call Annette 0413 180 205 if you would like to give Patch a second chance to have a happy life.
Patch is in foster care in Metford, NSW (near Maitland NSW) and is available for adoption interstate.
Patch's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
