About Ollie
Please say hello to Ollie!
This cute boy is a happy and friendly little chap. He has very nice manners but still has his puppy cheekiness.
We are not completely sure of his breed but it has been identified by one of our partner vets to the best of their knowledge.
With walks every day he is quickly learning how to respond on the lead. He is still a little timid and does become unsure about being approached by new people and dogs when he is out of his foster home. He will bark a lot when he is feeling insecure but once he has settled he will want lots of pats and attention.
Regular walks and outings will be very important to help him learn to accept new environments and trust his family to keep him safe. He travels well in the car and will happily sleep for the trip.
Considering his age Ollie listens very well. He has already learnt to sit, responds well to his name and has quite good recall but will run if there is something interesting to investigate.
Ollie is currently in care with his equally adorable brother. They rely on each other for reassurance but also feed off each other's anxieties. When one is feeling unsure the other reacts the same way. These boys only know life together but being welcomed into a new family with a confident dog will be a great move for them to lift their confidence so they can develop some independence. Ollie gets along well with other small dogs and loves to runs around and share playtime with them.
A home with another desexed friendly, confident/social young dog will be a must for him to offer him security and guidance. He will not be suited with a dominant dog.
This little man would be very pleased to be an important part of a family with children who will understand that he will need to be given time to settle in without feeling overwhelmed. He loves the excitement of lots of things going on that he can be involved in.
These boys are currently offered a warm bed inside at night and spend a lot of time indoors with their carer. They are toilet trained and will go outside when they need to. They will be looking for a home where they will be offered the security of sleeping indoors overnight.
Considering Ollie is very small he easily fits under gates and fences so will need a home with secure fencing to ensure his safety.
If you would like to offer Ollie his loving new family home we look forward to hearing from you
Ollie is currently in Ferntree Gully, VIC
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
