About Davey
Davey is a handsome boy who is very affectionate and loves being inside with his humans and animal friends. He has not grown out of his playful nature.
Davey is fully house-trained and has lovely manners when eating, taking treats and sitting on your lap for a smooch. Like most terriers, he is very self-possessed and is a great house alarm when strangers come onto his patch, but settles quickly when reassured. He does like to pursue your acquaintance at his own pace and like a lot of us he doesn’t like people he doesn’t know being too enthusiastic in his personal space.
Davey has lived happily with other dogs and cats and enjoys meeting new doggy friends in the park, though he prefers larger dogs to respect his space until introductions have been made.
He really loves a hug, a cuddle and a snooze on your lap. He walks so happily on a lead he has never felt the need to go off lead, though he could learn to come when called with some training. A daily walk of no more than 30 minutes would be ideal for this gentleman.
Davey is looking for a home where he will have company for most of the day. His forever home will be with an adult family, or a family with teenage children.
If you are looking for a pocket-sized lively lad, Davey could be the perfect addition to your home and a great little buddy for another dog.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Medical notes
Davey broke his leg several years ago. It has healed but since then he has lost the ability to walk for extended periods of time (longer than 30 mins).
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
