Mattos

Looking for a really sweet little pup? Then meet Mattos!

Mattos is just such a sweet natured boy who deserves lots of love. He is a gentle and calm puppy who can often be caught finding his own little place to have a nap. Mattos is relatively low energy but does enjoy following his carer around and will run up to greet you. He is a very snuggly pup that enjoys pats and affection. Mattos would prefer a calm environment where he can still have some playtime with his people and toys.

During his time in care, Mattos is being well socialised with dogs of all ages and sizes. He enjoys playing with his siblings, and investigating new toys. Mattos is only very small (currently only between 1-2kg) so is wary of the big dogs squishing him but is becoming more confident as he gets older. His new family need to continue with his socialisation and will need to provide him with appropriate exercise and stimulation. Mattos will benefit from a family who are patient and help him gain confidence in new environments.

Mattos is undergoing basic training while in foster care. At the moment that is consisting of experiencing new places and noises, and will continue onto learning to sit for a treat and how to walk on a lead. It is vital that his new family are committed to continuing his training as he will have much more to learn as he grows up. Currently, Mattos is being crate trained, which is going very well, and is progressing with toilet training. He will usually toilet on puppy training pads when he is in the house.

We are looking for a home where Mattos will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another suitable doggy companion and/or someone who is home most of the time so that he gets the attention that he deserves. Mattos is best suited to be an indoors dog due to his size, though being able to have access to outside to toilet and explore would be nice as well. He will also require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on out of the weather. Mattos has not yet met other types of pets but with the appropriate introductions and training he should be able to live harmoniously with other species.
