About Lilli ~ 1yo JR x Foxie x Maltese (On Trial 25/2/17
Lilli is a sweet little girl with a beautiful nature. She’s is a Jack Russell x Foxie x Maltese who is approximately 1 year old (just a baby!) and weighs approx. 6 kg. Lilli is super energetic and would love to play with another family dog, toys or her new family members.
Lilli is still a puppy so she has the normal puppy traits. She enjoys playing with toys - especially tug a war and ball. She loves going on her daily walk by the lake, but is only just learning to walk properly on the lead so she shouldn’t be off the lead until she has had further training. We are currently teaching her to sit and stay for treats and meals. She is fully toilet trained and can easily follow instructions when boundaries have been set - she is a fast learner and eager to please.
Lilli is currently living in an adult household with a 5 year old Maltese terrier (Elton). She has settled in well and Elton loves the company of a playful pup. She becomes anxious when left alone for long periods (which we are working on) and she takes a little time to settle down upon arrival home. She will benefit with extra training to help her overcome her anxiety.
Lilli is only a small dog and would prefer to go to a home where she can sleep inside at night (she is fully toilet trained) and is happy to be in or out through the day or wherever her family are. She likes to hang out in the yard with you, play, follow you around or sit on her favourite bed (which we have a few to choose from) watching the world go by. Lilli is not much of a lap dog - she prefers to sit at your feet.
Lilli would be best suited to a family that are home most of the time, preferably with another dog for her to play with. She is fine with children 10 years and over. An active retiree that spends lots of time at home would also be suitable for Lilli (preferably with another dog).
Lilli will make a loving and loyal addition to someone’s family that can give her lots of love and attention that she deserves. She has an anxious nature, so it will take a little time for her to get used to her new home, but once she is comfortable she will be a lifetime friend.
For more information or to meet Lilli, please contact her carer Joanne on 0425 269 437 or email joanne_jager@yahoo.com.au Lilli is located on the Central Coast, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.
Lilli's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
