About Calipo
Introducing Calipo. This handsome older gentleman is a 10 year old Maltese and is patiently waiting to find his retirement home.
Calipo was adopted last week, however he has now been returned as he really didn't like the adopters cats. He will therefore need to be rehomed in a cat free household. We have also been given information from his short adoption, that Calipo is house trained.
Calipo is a cute and happy boy. He loves to be a lap dog and receive lots of attention and belly rubs and he will show you the same love in return.
When he is happy to see you, he will stand on his hind legs with his front paws together and bounce around waiting for a cuddle.
He shows little interest in toys and would prefer to spend time with his human friends. He does appear ok with other dogs, however an introduction with any other dogs in the household would be required to ensure they will be friends.
Calipo shows no signs of seperation anxiety, however he can be startled by loud noises and would need to be allowed inside in a safe place during thunderstorms and fireworks.
He loves to go for a stroll to see the sights of the neighbourhood and walks beautifully on lead. As Calipo is not a young dog, he doesn't require long walks, but does enjoy short walks.
He can be a little bit of a grump when taken out of his comfort zone, however he soon settles.
Calipo is looking for his retirement home where he will be included as part of the family and one where he can give as much love to you as he can. He is happy to do whatever activity you are doing and to receive some cuddles and love at the end of the day. Calipo is a relaxed older gentleman who is happy to sleep the day away next to you or to go for a walk or potter around in the garden next to you. He would make a wonderful companion and perfect addition to a family.
Calipo's adoption fee is $350 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Calipo is also regularly treated for flea and worms.

Calipo is looking forward to meeting you.
Adoption details
Please phone or email us to find out more information on our animals. You will be asked to fill in a questionnaire. This questionnaire is confidential and does not oblige you to adopt, or guarantee you the animal. The information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once the questionnaire and any questions you may have are approved and answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
