Judd (Bed45329)

Hi my name is Judd and my foster Dad says I'm a well behaved gentle giant. I weigh around 40kgs. I live with another dog at the moment and we love to play and get along really well. I've been great with visiting children too but I'd feel more comfortable around bigger kids who are dog savvy due to my size. I would hate to accidentally knock a little one with my waggly tail! So if you have kids or another dog I think I would fit in nicely.
 
I prefer being an outside dog - I get a bit wigged out when I'm asked to come inside. So I love it when you're outside gardening or having a barbecue. And I'll alert you to new people around about too.
 
When I first came to SAFE my skin was in poor condition but with treatment and TLC my fur has regrown and I think my coat looks beautiful now! I might be prone to flare ups from time to time but regular washing with medicated soap and coconut oil will help prevent this and treat it if I get a flare up. I don't mind because is makes me smell real good. 
 
I prefer sunset strolls on the beach with my loved ones over a run - too hot and sweaty for such nonsense! I have a bit of a hip problem but it doesn't give me any bother. The vet said that so long as I keep at a good weight and don't run excessively or go jumping, then my hip problem should be fine for years - it might give me some trouble when I'm old. And seriously, I'm so tall, who needs to jump?
