About Saphira ~ female JR x Rotti puppy (on trial 19/03
Saphira is a 9 week old female Rottweiler x Jack Russell puppy who is just so cute and loveable. She will be ready for adoption at 10 weeks of age.
Saphira is a very healthy little girl, who has been raised in a home environment. She loves being inside as well as running around outside. She has grown up with 8 siblings - mum, dad and aunty and am now living just with 1 sister. Her mother was a natural bob tail Rottweiler and her father was a mini Foxy x Jack Russell.
I have met my neighbour who is a 1 year old labradoodle, I was a bit unsure about him as I'm so small, so I just sat down and watched him. I haven't met any cats yet, so I am not sure how that would go, but I do love to play. I'm coming along with my toilet training but need a bit more help with that. Training for sitting and staying has started, but I must admit I'm not so good at that.
I absolutely love my humans, as I am very affectionate and friendly, I love lots of cuddles and kisses. I am fine going up and down steps. I do love playing in water and wrestling with my sister. I would need an older fur sibling to play with and teach me the rules and human company during the day.
Saphira needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps.
We are not sure how big Saphira will grow to be, possibly small to medium size. At the moment she’s 15cm to her shoulder and about 39cm long. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Saphira's siblings: Lourde, Leaf, Luna, Rain, Sing and Vespa are also available for adoption.
As Saphira is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
If you are interested in Saphira, please email Michele at mmdesigndrafting@gmail.com or phone on 02 6572 1350. Saphira is in care in Singleton, NSW (west of Newcastle in the Hunter Valley).
Saphira's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see of all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
