About Izzy *Pet Of The Month $150*
Hi everyone!
My name is Izzy and I am a kind, gentle girl with eyes that make leaving the house hard! My tail never stops wagging - I am a happy, loving girl who's full of life. Even when I'm lying down you can still hear a faint tap tap tap from my happy wagging. I am ready for my new life- are you the one for me?
I am fantastic with other dogs and make friends easily. I bring the puppy out in older dogs, and make everyone happy. Dogs and humans alike all fall in love fast! Dog park trips are my favourite! I don't have any food aggression, at my current foster home I pick up an old bone, and make my foster sister chase me to get it, and after a while I'll drop it for her to pick up so now I can chase her! It's a fun game and wears us out in time for our afternoon naps. Bones are my favourite thing in the world.
Since coming into care I have discovered stairs and basic commands including 'sit, on your bed, inside, outside'. I love to give big kisses and toys are my absolute favourite! I love to have a toy box to rummage through to find the one that suits my current mood. I am such a playful and loving girl- if you're sitting I will trot over and rest my head gently on your lap and gaze at you so you know how much I love you! And if you wanted to show me by patting me... that would be ok too I guess ;) I like to sleep inside at night, and am house trained. I have not yet met cats.
So why am I here? Well nobody knows for sure why, but I was left to die in a council pound. There is no information on my history or why people chose to abandon me but as with the 500+ dogs killed every day in pounds, there probably wasn't any reason and I have done nothing since being in care that could even remotely begin to justify such horrible treatment. I have been nothing but loyal, fun, and well behaved :) and would fit in great with most families! Come and meet me - you won't be able to walk away!

Healthy, happy!
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate, microchip number.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
