About Minnie
Minnie is a very sweet little girl rescued from a dangerous situation. She is a little shy to start with but very gentle and loves a scratch behind the ears (and her food!). Her coat is silky soft and we think that with patience she would be a loving little companion. Minnie is currently being fostered on the northern beaches and learning to be a loved companion. After a rough start in life this soft little beauty deserves a loving home of her own.
Minnies ideal owner would be someone patient who will reap the rewards of earning this little ones trust. A couple, senior or a single person or family with older children would be ideal. Minnie should be an indoor cat so a pet friendly apartment or a house with an enclosed courtyard or cat run would make us and Minnie very very happy!
Medical notes
Minnie is a healthy girl but did test positive for FIV. A FIV cat can lead a long and healthy life if given good care and diet- FIV merely means the immune system is supressed - it can't be transmitted to people or by sharing food or mutual grooming. It is only transmitted through deep bite wounds usually sustained in mating fights or the mating process. Often people don't even realize their cat has FIV until it gets tested. Both our president and Public Officer have healthy FIV cats as pets and would be happy to discuss any concerns and debunk the myths!
