About Bennie
Looking for a cat. . . But don't want to wake up to a dead bird on your doorstep? well, this big girl does not exactly know she's a rabbit and interacts with you more like a cat. She was found as a stray a couple of months ago when a lovely family brought her in, and despite going to great lengths to find her owner none came forward. After coming to the realisation they could not keep bennie forever they contacted us. Bennie is acustomed to small friendly dogs and cats, not being frightened of either. She lived in a protected garden, where she only did her toilet in one small area, and would scratch a couple of times at the back door to be let in. Inside she was equally well mannered, not ever having an "accident". She will come to you when you tap your thigh and stand up waiting for a pat or treat. She loves to be patted and claims the sofa as her own! infact, when we arrived to pick her up that is where she was sitting quite comfortably! this royal miss does have quite a few kilos she could loose, however she's used to having a good diet and loves grass and all the vegies. Any orchids in the garden should be protected as she does like a nibble on them as well. . . (the list of plants she enjoys to eat just keeps getting longer, so avid gardeners are not really suitable for this girl as all ornamentals will soon be eaten. . . )
after such a wonderful lifestyle we really hope there is a family out there that can continue the luxary she has been used to. Bennie is currently unavailable, however we're still taking expressions of interest. we would really like to say a huuuge thank you to the spann family, who went above and beyond to take in a stray bunny and care for her while trying to reunite her with the owners. They are absolutely wonderful people who should be congratulated! thank you again!
