About Ivy ~ Koolie x Cattle dog (on trial 21/02/17)
Ivy is a beautiful Koolie X Cattle dog who is just over 5 months old. She is a playful girl seeking an active family or couple who will take her for lots of adventures. She can be a little timid around new people and surroundings but doesn’t take long to warm to you.
Ivy is a smart girl who can sit when told and comes to her name. She knows the basics but will need further training. She is an outdoor dog who would need to be house-trained. She does have good manners when it comes to feeding. She doesn’t bark much at all and knows not to jump up on people or little children. She is a gentle giant.
Ivy is good with other dogs and would like to have an active playmate so that she doesn’t get lonely. She currently lives with a small male dog that she has no problems with. She is social but at the same time, shy
Ivy is still very young and has a lot of energy so she would love to be a part of a family or couple who will take her for lots of walks or runs, play games with her and take her out for special trips. She has been enjoying her time spent at the beach with other dogs and children. She is great around small and big kids.
Ivy would love some toys to play with and to keep her mind active. She is not a barker and hasn’t tried to jump fences and is happy outside.
Ivy has had her vet work done and ready to find a new permanent home. She will make a new member to the family.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
