About Lotus
Lotus is a an ex meat rabbit. She was kept in a tiny wire cage on a constant reproduction cycle. She was kept like this for the first two years of her life, used only to make babies. FFR rescued Lotus along with 40 other rabbit form this breeding operation. Lotus was heavily pregnant when she was rescued. She has spend her days since rescue in foster care where she gave birth to 7 beautiful babies (also available for adoption)
Now that her babies are weaned it is time for Lotus to find the life she deserves. She is a big friendly giant, despite her terrible two years of neglect. She is a little reserved and rightfully so after such a terrible start to life. However everyday we see her come out of her shell more and more. When she first arrived she was unable to be touched as she would cower in fear. Now she is happy to approach people for food and head pats. She is even happy to sit in your arms while being carried for her outside run time, which she will require in her new home. She is a big girl around the 6-7 kg mark, so plenty of room to move is a must for this lady. She would love to spend he new life in a home where she has a desexed male rabbit for company.
Don't be put off by her size as Lotus is a big ball of love. She just needs the right home, where she is shown love and understanding and she will flourish.
