About Leo D0537 adopted 1/3/17
Leo is a gorgeous boy. He is looking for a new home due to his owners downsizing and only having a small yard...
Leo's attributes are as follows:
* Activity level - Leo is an active dog and would ideally find a home with a bit of space to run, and owners who will walk/run him every day. Loves to play with balls, tug o'war etc.
* Housetrained – he is fully house trained and is used to sleeping indoors at night
• Onlead – Good although pulls ahead initially
• Offlead – Recall needs work
* Dogs - Leo is good with the dogs he has met. He will posture if a new dog runs up to him unchecked, but has never shown any aggression with dogs, and likes to play with them. He has come from a home with a small female dog
* Other animals - good with cats although will chase if they run; good with chooks (used to herding them in to roost!); good with sheep; good with horses although will nip at heels when they run
• Noise level - Barks at passers by but does not bark at nothing
• Children - Fine, and does not jump up, but can occasionally nip at ankles if engaging in play (typical heeler!) So may suit slightly older children who can be aware of this
* Fencing - Leo was previously on a property with rural fencing and did not wander - however someone was home most of the time.
If you feel this lovely boy will suit your home and family, please drop us a line with details on your family members and other pets, your fencing and home, where Leo would spend his time and sleep at night, your ability to exercise him daily, your work pattern and if there is any reason you are not able to adopt straight away. (Leo is available to adopt after 9 Feb but ready to be viewed now).
