About Billy Smith
Billy Smith is a spritely eleven year old. Despite his age he has much energy and loves his walks and playing ball. Billy is so happy in the company of his people and his new home will see him being an important part of the family. He would love to live inside and be actively involved in everyday life.
Billy has been well socialized with other dogs at the park and currently lives with another dog. He has never shown any aggression to other dogs and if anything keeps his distance from them.
Bill has such a lot of love to give but to date has been mainly an outside dog. He would love this to change and to be inside when you are. He does bark but it is for attention when he is outside and you are inside, or when there is rough weather such as wind, thunder or rain as he is very frightened of them. It is important he is kept inside during these times to keep him safe. Billy is working on his toilet training and can sit and responds well to his name.
Billy could be rehomed with another calm dog and is best suited to an adult family or family with teenage children.
Billy is a beautiful soul. He will be an amazing companion for a family who will make him feel like the most important dog in the world.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you too as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
