About Zara *On Trial in Her New Home*
*ZARA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Zara, she’s a friendly, happy pup who puts 110% enthusiasm into everything she does, from greeting her beloved humans to playing in the yard! She’s looking for a fun-loving forever home who will help her reach her full potential; will it be with you?
Recently rescued from Broken Hill Pound, where she’d ended up through no fault of her own, adorable Zara has the personality of your typical affectionate, human loving Staffy with a little bit of Boxer silliness thrown in for good measure! She would love a home where she wasn’t on her own for long periods of time 5 days per week while her owner is at work (cos there’s a good chance she’d get bored and up to mischief!), so a playful doggie friend would be perfect . She is house-trained and given that both Staffies and Boxers are happiest inside with their family and they shed little hair, we’d like to see her in an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in her forever home.
She can be a little stubborn (or is that easily distracted? Look there goes a bird!) though Zara quickly mastered “sit” - it helps that she’s food obsessed (she LOVES Schmackos!) and this will assist with any further training you’d like to do with her. Even though her carer has been working on the “down” command Zara does jump up when excited, so a home with older children would suit her best as she may accidentally bowl the little ones over with her playful exuberance. A back-injury sustained by our foster carer has meant that she hasn’t been able to walk Zara as often as she’d like so Zara will need some practice with this in her forever home though she does love getting out and about!

Gorgeous Zara loves playing with doggie toys and she’s especially fond of a game of tug-o-war with her foster care’s own Staffy cross. She quite likes water so a doggie pool in the warmer months is a must. She isn’t fazed by her foster carer’s cats though they generally keep out of her way. Zara can be a bit boisterous when meeting other dogs (she just wants to play!), so ongoing socialisation accompanied by some obedience training should help with this. Secure fencing, bones to chew on and lots of love will make Zara very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
