About Loki ~ Cattle x Border Collie (on trial 30/01/17)
Loki is a handsome 18 month old stumpy tail cattle dog x border collie boy. He is medium-sized and looks like a fluffy stumpy tail cattle dog.
Loki is a lovely boy and isn’t too energetic. He loves a belly scratch and loves attention from everyone. He has grown up with children although he is better suited to older kids. He is ok with cats, but not small animals/pocket pets or chickens. He is not suited to live with small dogs as he doesn’t know his own size or strength and can get too rough and may hurt them. He would be ok on his own or with dogs his size and bigger.
Loki is fully house trained and uses the doggy door. He sleeps inside on the ground near our bed or in the hallway on the cool tiles. He loves the car and travels very well. Loki also loves water and get excited when it’s bath time. He will often go and stand at the tubs for a wash.
Loki comes when called and loves to run along side the bike while you go riding. He can sit and lay down. He also loves his treats. He is quite lazy considering his breed, but would benefit from regular walks. He doesn’t jump or try to escape. He doesn’t jump all over people.
.
Loki is an amazing dog and his forever family will be very lucky.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
