The ideal family/owner for Toby would be one that is active with a big yard so that he can roam around and lose the excess weight that he currently has. Toby is fine alone but he lights up if someone plays with him. He loves his squeaky toys and tug-a-war. He is affectionate and would try to lick you if you allow him. He is a gentle giant indeed that is playful and loves to have fun.
He is good with other dogs but can become a bit frightened of larger, boisterous dogs that are in his face.
