About Charlee
Charlee is an 18 month old cattle cross who has been in foster care with Fraser Coast Animal Rescue for 6 months. In that time, she has come a long way, from having some behaviours that seemed to stem from anxiety, to being a loving loyal playful girl.
Charlee loves to play ball, any ball will do and she will keep going as long as you do.
Charlee and her foster Mum have worked with a trainer and now Charlee can walk with a gentle leader and focus on her human. She sits and waits for her food and also knows not to go out of an open gate unless asked. She is currently in town, but we think she would really like some land to call her own. One of her favourite things to do is jump on the back of the ute, even if it just to watch her humans do yard work!
She is predominately an outside dog as she shows too much interest in cats, but is also learning a "leave it" command which stops her getting too close. She hasn't been with livestock so we cannot say how she will be with them. She does live with two other dogs, and has had other foster buddies, but needs a slow introduction to new dogs.
Her foster family has found her to be great security, as she knows the difference between who is supposed to be around, and who is not and her bark lets them know if something is up. If you feel Charlee might be the one you have been searching for, please contact us to organise a meet and greet with this beautiful girl.
Medical notes
Charlee is micro-chipped and details will be transferred upon adoption.
Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue house all our dogs in care with foster carers in family homes. This allows the dogs to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. This gives us an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dogs would suit which family dinamics.
We offer a 14 day trial period for all potential adoptees so they can see if the dog they have chosen is a fit with their family situation. Their is a $50 refundable deposit paid on the commencement of the trial period, which comes off the balance of the adoption fee should you wish to formally adopt your chosen dog. If you decide that the dog doesn't fit with your family, the dog will be retured into foster care, and the full balance of the deposit is refunded to you with no fees or charges.
If you wish to arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs in care, please call Caitlyn on 0455551036 or email caitlyn.hulse@hotmail.com
The committee and carers of Fraser Coast Animal Rescue are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we dont answer your enquiries straight away.
