Kelvin is an active and friendly puppy and his foster family think he is a Kelpie cross Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. He is such a loving little guy who is eager to please whoever he meets with his little stumpy tail wagging most of the time. He has adapted well to his foster home, loving the cuddles he gets now that he is out of the pound. He is toilet trained and has already picked up some basic commands (sit/come/lie down/wait) so his young mind is eager to learn. He loves playing with his foster sibling (also a kelpie cross) but needs to be introduced slowly to bigger dogs to make sure he's comfortable - once he knows them, he will play to his heart's content. He has met kids of all ages and been very gentle and not too excited. He has also met some cats and is friendly and inquisitive. He's an accepting little guy and would adapt to most new environments. Kelvin also loves water and has done lots of swimming in the creek and drinks straight from the hose. He would suit an active person/family who can take him on walks and other adventures but most of all give him a loving home.
Kelvin is very doggy orientated so must go to his new home with an existing furry friend.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
