About Fluffy ~ terrier x cattle dog (on trial 9/7/17)
Fluffy is a very loving, playful, 1 year old, scruffy terrier x red cattle dog, medium sized. He loves to play. He is great with children though he does jump and lick when excited so we suggest he goes to a home with children 6 years or older.
Fluffy travels well in the car and behaves very well once buckled in, but does need to be helped in there to start with.
Fluffy is a gentleman who will gladly sit and wait for his food and treats or for you to attach his lead. He does pull slightly but that's only because he is super excited to see the world. He needs someone who doesn’t work full time and is experienced with dogs who is prepared to continue his training.
Fluffy loves to play and run around and would really like to have another dog friend to play with. He would not like being an only dog. He doesn’t like meeting dogs he doesn’t know when out on walks, so a little positive reinforcement training in that area would be useful. We are not sure how he would go with cats or pocket pets.
For more information or to meet Fluffy, please contact his foster carer Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882. Fluffy is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Newcastle area) and is available for adoption interstate.
Fluffy's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
