About Guardie
**GUARDIE**
Guardie (short for Guardian), is a friendly and energetic 8 year old boy who LOVES to play with his stick – he won’t give it to you, but he is at his happiest when you are chasing him around trying to get it! He is good with kids, big and small, and with other dogs (preferably large breeds) BUT as he strongly food-guards he MUST BE FED SEPARATELY. Guardie has not lived and is untested with cats. He is good on-lead and has some skills in basic training.
Guardie suffers from separation anxiety at times, and has been on medication. He may be able to be weaned off the medication as the current carer feels the anxiety may be based on the circumstances of his life. She feels once he is settled somewhere that this may no longer be an issue. He has been known to jump the fence when left alone outside however, when left inside with his current doggy friend, he copes fine. It would be good if he found a family where someone was home at times during the week.
Do you think this handsome senior could become a new member of your pack? If you think you could give Guardie a loving forever family, then please put in an Adoption Application online via our website.
