About Rolex ~ 10yo purebred Pug boy (On Trial 29/1/17)
This gorgeous boy is 10 year-old Rolex, a purebred pug who has sooo many lovable ways, it’s really hard not to fall in love with him.
Rolex is interested in everything you do, from cleaning the bathroom to weeding the garden. If he could help he would, but he is content to sniff around to see what you’re doing. Good company is his first love in life, so he could only go to a family who needs and wants a friend by their side during a large part of the day.
Rolex is a strong dog who likes nothing better than have a play with anyone who will pick up his toy; tug a war is a favourite game and so is having a bit of a friendly tussle. A 15 minute walk each day is a routine he loves, any further and he is puffing and panting, wanting to go home.
Rolex is not a barker, and when he does bark, everybody in the room usually has a great laugh as he looks and sounds so cute when he does it. He’s gorgeous. He also known for snorting, snoring, snuffling, sneezing and sniffing which amazingly, adds to his overall appeal.
Pugs do have their special needs due to their facial features; they need a regular brush to minimise their moulting and an occasional face clean to avoid a rash. Furthermore, protection in high heat is essential as they are prone heat exhaustion. He is quite happy to sleep outside at night, but spends most of his time inside though he is not at all worried when he has been sent outside for a while.
As said above, Rolex needs to go to a family who can spend a lot of time with him, giving him the companionship he craves. He is suitable for a family with young children or a more elderly person or couple who want a loving companion.
For more information or to meet Rolex, please contact his carers Jason and Karen on 02 400 911 63 or email jk88scott@gmail.com. Rolex is in foster care Floraville, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Rolex's adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Happy and healthy boy.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
