About Louie ~ foxie x silky terrier (on trial 29/1/17)
Louie is the sweetest little 3 month old foxie x silky terrier puppy. He is full of love and affection.
His perfect day would be playing his heart out with toys or dogs or humans, then settling down on your lap to snooze and snuggle. He is very easy going in all situations – he loves being inside but doesn't complain about being put outside.
He will grow up to be a small dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Louie has lots of energy so would be great in an active home with another dog or children to play with (not sure about cats but his easy going nature hints that he would be fine). Louie would prefer to be allowed inside most of the time in a home where he is not left alone for long periods, and is searching for a family that will enjoy including him in many aspects of their life.
Louie’s brother Humphrey is also available for adoption.
As Louie is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Louie, please contact his foster mum, Katie by text only on 0401 605 063. Louie is in care in Belmont South, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Louie's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Happy and healthy boy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
