About Humphrey ~ foxie x silky terrier (On Trial 11/2/17
Humphrey is an absolutely gorgeous 3 month old foxie x silky terrier puppy. He is a very playful and affectionate puppy who loves to cuddle up to you.
Humphrey is such a happy and easy going boy - he fits in to all kinds of situations, loves playing both inside and outside, is great with kids and with other dogs too (not sure about cats but his adaptable nature hints that he would be fine). He will grow up to be a small dog.
He is fairly well toilet trained. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
He loves snuggling in bed with you and would prefer to be allowed inside most of the time in a home where he is not left alone for long periods. Humphrey has lots of energy so would be great in an active home with another dog or children to play with.
Humphrey’s brother Louie is also available for adoption.
As Humphrey is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Humphrey, please contact his foster mum, Katie by text only on 0401 605 063. Humphrey is in care in Belmont South, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Humphrey's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
