About Indi
This beautiful girl is INDI an affectionate and gentle dog who has a lovely nature and who loves people and other dogs as well as cats.
Rescued after being abandoned in a pound, Indi is learning how to be a family dog from the two kelpies in her foster home, following them around, copying their every move and learning the routine of a family home. (Indi is pictured with Poppy, the brown kelpie). She has also befriended the young puppy from next door, mentoring him, cleaning and nurturing him like a mother dog, even though she is still just a big pup herself.
Ed (the cat in Indi’s foster home) greeted Indi on arrival, walked straight up to her, giving her a kiss on her nose and from there a gorgeous friendship formed. Ed shares Indi's fluffy doggy bed.
Indi is young, probably around 12 months, and still puppyish in some of her ways; she will take your shoes if you don’t watch out. She dances around trying to bite the water from the hose, she plays fetch and loves cuddles and attention from the humans in her home.
We are not sure of Indi's breeding but believe she might have staghound in the mix. Whatever her breeding she is a beautiful soul, and is looking for a family who will continue her training and socialisation, who will give her love and attention and make her part of the family. Indi will return the love 100 fold and be the most loyal friend and companion.
Indi can only be rehomed to a family with a home with a big back yard and at least one other dog in the family.
Our dogs are given a two week trial period with new families.
