Lacuna

Dynamic Duo Lacuna and Jinx are looking for a new place to call home. A little older than the other dogs Jinx is 8 years old and Lacuna is 7 years old but don't let that deter you as they both still have plenty of zest for life. Although Jinx is the oldest of the two you won't believe it when you meet her as she acts more like a puppy keen to get out and about where as Lacuna whom also likes to explore does so in a more relaxed manner than her sister.
We would love to see Lacuna and Jinx rehomed together as they do enjoy each others company.
Lacuna is a gorgeous dog with a loving personality however she is not a dog for just anybody. Beagle's were traditionally bred as hunting dogs and once they get onto the scent of something they simply focus on that one thing and can be extremely stubborn when it comes to listening to simple commands.
True to beagle nature Lacuna loves to use her ability to sniff and can sometimes get a little bit carried away and not concentrate on how far she's gone. Therefore Lacuna's new home MUST have secure fencing and she needs to be given plenty of exercise along with the right mental stimulation.
Through no fault of her own Lacuna is living up to the her breed and has become morbidly obese! Currently she is not showing any sign of diseases that can be associated with obesity such as Diabetes Arthritis Skin problems and Heart Disease. BUT WITHOUT a strict weight loss management plan Lacuna's health may rapidly decline. With this said we STRONGLY recommend that Lacuna goes to an owner who is COMMITTED and willing to help get her weight back on track with the help and guidance of their veterinarian. Not only will Lacuna's life be enriched by losing weight but her life span will be extended giving many happy years ahead with her new owner.
