Benny loves everyone and has really great manners. He doesn’t jump up on you and he enjoys a belly scratch from anyone. He adores all the dogs we have met. He loves to play and wrestle. But his most favourite thing is water! He goes crazy for the hose and loves a bath.
He is fully house trained. He travels really well in the car. He is perfectly fine to be left at home alone. We’ve left him for 4-5 hours at a time with zero destruction or accidents. He hasn’t been tested with cats, however the possums in our yard don’t seem to faze him.
He loves digging and chasing a ball. He really has a gorgeous nature. After his attack I was worried about him showing signs of aggression or anxiety, but you wouldn’t have a clue what he has been through! However, he is a little nervous at the vet. Which is to be expected after the amount of visits that he has had.
He will make a great addition to any home. I think he would love to have other dogs for company, but will also be perfectly fine on his own. As long as he gets some attention in the mornings and at night! He’s very alert and learns things very quickly. He’s been learning to walk on a lose lead and doesn’t pull at all. He really is one of the easiest, most relax and gentle puppies we’ve ever had.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application must be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer. You must bring your dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. The animal must not be taken on the day unless prior arranged (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment details will be given, this can take 2-3 days to finalize before the meet & greet so please give time.
4. 10 day trial period commences
5. Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
