About Sandi
Gorgeous girl Sandi had a nasty accident at only a few months of life and injured her shoulder. As a result she has had her left front leg amputated. She has bounced back brilliantly, though, and gets around just like a normal dog. Turns out she didn't need that old leg anyway!
Sandi was born in a Tennant Creek town camp and lived there for the first few months of her life in a busy family setting with lots of kids and other dogs. Since the accident she has been living with a young couple and their teenage foster son. She loves and trusts that family and has a great time with the other dogs. She is brilliantly socialised to dogs and people.
She really has a beautiful loving and playful nature. She has been an inside/outside dog, and is doing really well with her house training. Of course she is still a puppy and needs her human to think for her a little bit and keep her in a good routine.
Sandi is an athletic little girl and needs a good walk each day, and really enjoys off lead walks and exploring, so dog parks and the beach would be great for her, as she swims very well too. She is a delicate, elegant little girl who will be medium height, but with a fine light build.
With her sociable nature we are really looking for a home with either another friendly doggy playmate, or some kids, because that's the sort of environment she's used to and does well in. We think Sandy will just make a great family dog.
Her adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Sandi is fit and well, all vet work done and ready to go.
