About Bert
Meet Bertie! A lovable, playful and gentle pup who has had such a lovely start to life, with plenty of socialisation and new experiences, helping to prepare him for his new home.
Bert adores cuddles with his carers, chasing toys and wrestling with his foster sister. He has recently discovered water and has become quite fond of his afternoon swims in the dam.
In his current foster home, Bert has begun to perfect his loose leash walking skills, his off-leash recall, some basic obedience and being patient around food and other distractions. He loves his crate and is going extremely well with his toilet training.
Bert lives with 6 other dogs of all ages and sizes and has enjoyed getting to know them all. He has become more respectful of the older dogs, and is beginning to learn how to respectfully interact and socialise with dogs we come across on our walks.
Bert is looking for a home with a reletivley active family, willing to walk him at least once a day, and continue with his daily training and socialisation.
Due to his adult size, it is recommended that Bert attends puppy classes in his new home, as this will not only aid him with his training, but also help socialise him and get him used to listening with and around distractions, creating a much more balanced and well-behaved adult dog.
Being quite young, it will beneift Bert if an older, mature dog is in his new home to help him learn the rules of the house and to provide him with someone to play with when left alone.
Bert is a much loved pup by everyone he meets. His floppy ears and cheeky grin are just too adorable.
If you would like to know more about this sweet boy of ours, we would love to hear from you!
Bert is located in Ballarat.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
