About Nottie
Beneath a bundle of long term neglect,of untreated infections and pain we discovered an absolute treasure!
Now fit, healthy and pain-free Nottie is ready for his new, happy life.
Despite his terrible past Nottie is an easy going, easily pleased, gorgeous natured boy.
More than anything Nottie now LOVES affection. He will nudge you for a pat and then nestle in for a cuddle and then happily sleep on your lap or by your side.
His next favourite thing is going for walks, and although a generally quiet boy he will howl with excitement when he knows a walk is imminent.
He walks well on lead and seems easy going with other people and dogs he meets along the way. He's also tolerant of and curious about cats.
He travels beautifully in the car and is happy to watch the world go by with you at a cafe.
Nottie also LOVES his food. All food. Even after having had 7 teeth removed there's nothing he won't eat.
Despite his love of food he shows no signs of food aggression and will happily watch his slow eating foster brother eat in the hope there may be 'leftovers'.
Nottie is now toilet trained and is slowly learning about playing and toys.
Although he gets along with his foster brother and at times follows him around he would prefer to have all the human attention and doggy toys to himself!
Nottie would be happiest in a loving, calm, predictable environment where his love of walks and affection will be pandered to.
Medical:
Nottie came into care with terrible, untreated skin irritations which have now all cleared apart from a residual small bald spot which his comb over now covers. He will need skin monitoring and early treatment if skin irritation occurs.
He will need a regular brush to keep him comfortable and prevent knots and matting.
Nottie has had 7 teeth removed so may need a dental clean every year or second year.
He will need a high quality diet for skin and teeth health and monitoring of his potential to overeat.
It has been a pleasure having Nottie in our care.
