About Brax ~ 3yo GS x Lab boy (On Trial 21/1/17)
Brax is a handsome 3 year old German Shepherd x Labrador boy who loves belly rubs. He is full of unconditional love and loyalty and he is good with other dogs and kids!
Brax's personality is simply gorgeous – he’s very affectionate, loves to be a lapdog and is happy to lounge around all day. He is housetrained and good inside, but he doesn’t mind sleeping outside if he has a warm, comfy, sheltered bed. He would like a nice big yard to explore and run around in.
Brax is an obedient boy who can sit, drop and come when called, but he’d love to do some more training with you. He learns quickly and is eager to please. He is the perfect outgoing companion for an active family as he loves to go for walks, though he needs a strong person to hold his lead. He is also great with other dogs, so is a joy to take to the beach or dog park and just loves riding in the car. He is very quiet and not a barker even if he is curious about visitors.
Brax is great with kids, but would be best with kids over 6 due to his size. He loves to play tug of war, fetch or simply run around the yard with them. He would love another medium-large dog friend as he is not used to being by himself and can get a tad lonely if left outside all day by himself. He is not suited for cats or pocket pets. His bond is incredibly strong with his ‘special person’, so he becomes worried when he is left alone for too long. He needs an understanding owner who can work with him to become more independent and who has time to spend with him.
Brax would love to find his forever family - he has so much love to give!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
